Craig was deep in thought. ‘We could even make room for her at my house, if you like. It’s big enough, and we could perhaps draw up some plans for a self-contained annexe. She might like to divide her time between you and your sister.’
Rebecca’s eyes widened. ‘Are you sure you wouldn’t mind doing that?’
He shook his head. ‘I meant it when I said I’ll do anything to make you happy. You have to know that.’
She gave a ragged sigh, wrapping her arms around him and kissing him passionately on the mouth. ‘Did I tell you how just much I love you?’
‘You know, I don’t think you did.’ His mouth curved. ‘But if that was an example, perhaps you should show me all over again. I didn’t quite catch it the first time round.’
Rebecca began to giggle. ‘Things are going to be all right for us, aren’t they?’
‘Oh, yes,’ he said, bending his head to claim her lips once more. ‘Things are definitely going to work out for the two of us.’
